Corporate Gifting Case Study: Local Gourmet Gift Boxes
This holiday season, a local lawyer reached out to us about creating local, unique, and gourmet gift boxes for his clients. His only requirements were to add sparkling and red wine and to support as many small businesses as possible…check, check, and double check!
We work with so many amazing small businesses that craft unique and high end products that it wasn’t hard to come up with an arrangement that would impress his clients and meet his needs. We love helping companies create gifts that make their brand stand out and that their recipients love to receive.
Item 1: Three Ships First Landing Espresso
Three Ships Coffee Roasters is a hometown gem just a mile from our shop. We stop by there often to fuel up but their coffee is also one of our favorite go-tos for gift boxes.
About the coffee:
Micro Region: 50% Guji // 50% Narino
Country of Origin: 50% Ethiopia // 50% Colombia
Processing Method: Washed process
We Taste: Berry, Semi-Sweet Chocolate & Subtle Creme
Item 2: Cocoa Nouveau Holiday Truffles
About the chocolate:
Kristin Joslin, owner of Cocoa Nouveau and a Maitre Chocolatier, crafts European-style decadent and gluten-free chocolates that are unrivaled by anything else we’ve tried. She produces seasonally in very limited quantities but we always make sure to stock up as they are a customer favorite!
Items 3 & 4: Uncork’d
Uncork’d is a fantastic shop in Downtown Suffolk with a great selection of incredible wines & craft beers. We went with Rocklin Ranch for the red wine and Marfil for the sparkling.
About Rocklin Ranch Cabernet:
This Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and structured, brimming with flavor of ripe plum, blueberry and notes of warm backing spices and toasty vanilla bean. It is a rich wine with well integrated tannins.
About Marfil:
Cava is Spain’s better value answer to Champagne, which is made in the same style. Marfil spends 14 months aging on the lees and offers refreshing, zesty flavors of green apple and citrus with an invigorating honeysuckle note.
Items 5 & 6: The Pink Dinghy Cookies & Milk and Honey Cookery Hot Chocolate Bombs
About The Cookies:
The Pink Dinghy is a local treasure. A neighborhood restaurant and market, it is one of our founder’s favorite spots to go with her kids or friends. They make a mean homemade triple chocolate chip cookie!
About the Hot Chocolate Bombs:
One of the better things to come out of 2020: Hot Chocolate Bombs. Milk and Honey Cookery, a local charcuterie expert, makes the most amazing ones! To use, add a “bomb” into a mug, pour hot milk after it and watch it melt as marshmallows explode out!
Items 7 & 8: Bootstrap Burt’s Hot Sauce & Pretty Palm Candle Co. Palo Santo Candle
About the hot sauce:
This handcrafted small batch Kiwi Habanero hot sauce adds a nice kick to any gift. We went with this adventure-inspired flavor as it is Bootstrap Burt’s favorite flavor and a customer favorite.
About the candle:
Pretty Palm Candle Co. creates luxurious candles from a proprietary blend of 75% coconut wax, 25% soy wax, a cotton-braided wick, and all natural oils. Their Palo Santo candle is exclusive to Wanderful Boxes and features a blend of palo santo, frankincense and cedar wood essential oils. The perfect calming addition to any work desk or living room.
The gifts came in handcrafted wood keepsake boxes made by a father and son duo and were finished with twine and fresh greenery. We love how the gifts turned out and are happy we were able to support eight other small business owners in the process!
