Corporate Gifting Case Study: Local Law Firm
This was the second holiday season that a local lawyer reached out to us about creating local, unique, and gourmet gift boxes for his clients. His recipients loved the boxes we created for him so much last year that he gave us complete freedom to envision this year’s gift boxes again.
This was a dream project for us! We have some clients come to us with very specific requests and others who tell us to do whatever we think best. While we love both types of projects, we get excited when we have the creative freedom to create something really special.
We work with so many amazing small businesses that craft unique and high end products that it wasn’t hard to come up with an arrangement that would impress his recipients once again!
Item 1: Festive Pine Pretty Palm Candle Co.
About the candle:
Pretty Palm Candle Co. is a Virginia Beach, woman owned business that creates luxurious candles from a proprietary blend of 75% coconut wax, 25% soy wax, a cotton-braided wick, and all natural oils. Their Festive Pine holiday candle is a favorite seasonal candle of ours for its subtle, yet deliciously addictive, scent. The only request the lawyer made for the boxes this year was to include Pretty Palm Candle Co. again!
Item 2: Pinup Coffee
About the coffee:
Pinup Coffee is roasted in small batches in Virginia by a military vet and her husband. We recently connected with this local business and they were such a pleasure to work with! They helped us select a delicious bold roast with flavors of chocolate and caramelized sugar.
Item 3: Savage Chocolate Bar
About the chocolate:
Chocolate is always a good idea. We added an assortment of scrumptious chocolate bars from Savage Chocolate in Orange Peel, Mint Condition, and Deep Dark flavors.
Item 4: Logo Branded Water bottle by Earthly mama handcraft
About the Water Bottle:
We included a logo branded water bottle in the gift boxes as a nod to the lawyer being known as an avid tennis player in the community. A local crafter, Earthly Mama Handcraft, added his company’s logo to the water bottles which was a tasteful way to customize the boxes and represent his brand.
Items 5: Haven & Hull Wine
Haven & Hull is a fantastic shop in Downtown Suffolk with a great selection of incredible wines and craft beers. We went with Two Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon for the red wine and Marfil for the sparkling.
About Two Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon:
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep and intense with strong, well-integrated tannins. Dark and medium-bodied with black cherries, black berries, currants, and earth on the palate.
About Marfil:
Cava is Spain’s better value answer to Champagne, which is made in the same style. Marfil spends 14 months aging on the lees and offers refreshing, zesty flavors of green apple and citrus with an invigorating honeysuckle note.
Item 6: The Pink Dinghy Cookies
About The Cookies:
A neighborhood restaurant and market, the Pink Dinghy is one of our founder’s favorite spots to go with her kids or friends. They make a mean homemade triple chocolate chip cookie!
Item 7: Strawberry Café Hot Chocolate Bombs
About the Hot Chocolate Bombs:
Strawberry Café makes the most amazing hot chocolate bombs! This year she paired them with a peppermint candy to be used as a fun stir stick. To use, you just add a “bomb” into a mug, pour hot milk after it and watch it melt as marshmallows explode out!
The gifts came in handcrafted wood keepsake boxes made by a husband and wife team and were finished with twine and fresh greenery. We love how the gifts turned out and are happy we were able to support eight other small businesses in the process!
